We only know about the great thinkers because they were also writers. There have also been countless court scribes, pulling the strings of power with their written persuasiveness for time immemorial. And for thousands of years it has been posited that the pen is mightier than the sword.

And today, writers are very much demand. Yes, even with AI. In fact, people need a professional wordsmith on their side now more than ever, to help them rise above the AI slop.

I will never say that a writer needs to be great at writing. There sure are some brilliant writers out there, as there always have been. But there have also been some pretty lame writers who were enourmously successful - Dan Brown is a great modern example. For the most part, all writers throughout history have ever needed to do is this:

-Stick to the current accepted rules of writing (this will help if you can't)

-Write in a way that tingles the minds of others, in a way AI, and people who have no interest in learning to, cannot.

It's easy to learn and easy to do, it's easier not to, though, and writing's not for everyone. But you...

You can weave your words through time, court your creativity and build your own little empire whilst doing so. This is why I love writing - I can honour my urge to create with my urge to utterly smash my goals. I'll even finish my first novel this year.
